All Things New
Revelation’s closing vision describes a new heaven and a new earth and the holy city coming down from God. The vision speaks of God dwelling with people, tears wiped away, and death and mourning no more.
The city is pictured with the river of life and the tree of life. These images recall the Bible’s beginning while pointing toward renewal. The book closes with testimony, warnings about its words, and a hope for Jesus’ coming. Its symbols should be approached with care rather than turned into private predictions about an individual reader.
