The Last Supper

Jesus shared a Passover meal with his apostles before his arrest. Luke describes bread and a cup given with words about Jesus’ body and blood, alongside talk of betrayal, service, and coming trials. Jesus later went to pray on the Mount of Olives, where he was arrested. The meal belongs to the wider account of his suffering and is remembered in Christian worship, with differences among traditions.
