Joseph and His Brothers
Joseph can no longer keep his identity hidden. He sends the attendants away and tells his brothers who he is. They are frightened and unable to answer. The brother they sold is now the person with power to help them survive the famine.
Joseph invites them closer and speaks of preserving life. He asks them to bring their father and their households to Egypt. Tears, embraces, and conversation replace the silence. This moment does not make the earlier betrayal harmless; it shows a possibility for reconciliation within a long and painful story.
