Jacob and Esau
Isaac and Rebekah had twin sons, Esau and Jacob. The brothers grew into different lives, and their parents favored different sons. A meal became the setting for Esau giving up his birthright; later, Jacob received the blessing intended for Esau through deception. The family was left divided, and Jacob had to leave. These chapters show a complicated household rather than simple heroes to imitate.
