David and Goliath

Goliath challenged Israel’s army, and David came from tending sheep to bring food to his brothers. Hearing the challenge, David offered to face him. He declined Saul’s armor and went with his sling, speaking of trust in the Lord. The narrative describes David defeating Goliath and the army following. It is a story about Israel’s battle and David’s emergence, not a promise that every personal obstacle will disappear.
