The Crucifixion
Jesus was brought before rulers, condemned, and led to the place called the Skull. Luke describes his crucifixion between two criminals, his words to one of them, darkness, and his death. A centurion responded to what had happened, and Joseph of Arimathea arranged his burial. The account asks for reverent attention to suffering and should never be used to assign collective blame to Jewish people.
